Conference Information

Celebrating ten years of the NETnet Summer Distance Learning conference, our focus is to continue to provide a well-blended conference that will promote better ways of collaborating and networking with our member institutions and other educators.   This year's conference is filled with many great presentations that will enhance your distance education courses and your distance education programs.  Please make plans to join us in Tyler on June 15 - 17, 2016.  

 

Please note that the conference is FREE to all Northeast Texas Consortium members and the cost for a non-member is $95.

Call for Proposals

Your proposal should be focused on innovative issues, working solutions and should address the conference theme.  All presenters and co-presenters (regardless of session type) will be expected to register for the full conference.   If you missed it on the Conference Home, check out the Conference Information Guide.

Pre-Conference Workshops

 

Join us for our Pre-Conference Workshops.  These three-hour sessions (morning and afternoon) will allow presenters to go in-depth into a topic or skill and include time for questions, discussions and practice.

Lunch:  12:15 PM - 1:15 PM
Afternoon session:  1:30 PM - 4:30 PM

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP FEE:  $35 each

PARKING: Parking is available in the lot in front of the building (facing Fleishel St.)
TECHNOLOGY:  Labs provided and you are welcomed and encouraged to bring your own device (BYOD).

TIME:  6:30 PM - 10:00 PM (after 10:00 PM is Hotel Quiet Time)

LOCATION:  La Quinta Inn & Suites, 2552 S. Southeast Loop 323, Tyler, TX 75701

WILL THERE BE FOOD? -- NETnet will be treating the group to some finger foods and drinks.

 

Alcoholic beverages (hotel bar) - two tickets per person (beer & wine only) - all others will be paid at your expense

 

The plan is to have an open mic jam session featuring our Conference Band!  All are welcome to play, sing, catch up with old friends, and make new ones!
